Telexistence
Tokyo robotics company that deploys AI and remotely operated robots to restock convenience-store shelves, unload pallets and handle parts in factories.
Telexistence (TX) was founded in January 2017 and is headquartered in Heiwajima, Ota ward, Tokyo. Its TX Ghost robots restock beverage shelves in convenience stores, and it also builds depalletizing systems for distribution centres and manipulation robots, including humanoids, for manufacturing. The company develops hardware, software and AI in house, combines autonomous operation with human teleoperation and trains vision-language-action models on data from its deployed fleet. It says it is working with Seven-Eleven Japan toward humanoid deployment by 2029. TX closed a Series A led by Airbus Ventures in November 2018 together with a loan from MUFG Bank, both for undisclosed amounts, raised about ¥2.2 billion in a Series A2 announced in June 2021, and announced a Series B of about ¥23 billion in July 2023 in which SoftBank Group, Foxconn and Globis Capital Partners joined existing investors Monoful Venture Partners, KDDI Open Innovation Fund and Airbus Ventures.
