Aleph Surgical
Startup building autonomous surgical robots on embodied foundation models, with a purpose-built robot called Mark 0.
Aleph Surgical says it is building autonomous surgical robots that bring frontier embodied AI into the operating room. In a March 2026 research preview it described a purpose-built robot, Mark 0, embodied foundation models pretrained at internet scale across modalities, tasks and robot bodies, and a hierarchical system that breaks surgical goals into subtasks, with vascular anastomosis as its benchmark task. The company says its first system is learning surgical tasks fully autonomously from demonstrations. It announced a $7.5 million pre-seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz on 30 September 2026. Founders and headquarters have not been disclosed.
