Holiday Robotics
Seoul-based developer of FRIDAY, a wheeled industrial humanoid built around dexterous hands.
Holiday Robotics was founded in 2024 by Song Ki-young, who earlier founded the industrial AI company SUALAB, later acquired by Cognex, the company says. Its first robot, FRIDAY, has 64 degrees of freedom, 40 of them in the hands, and pairs a wheeled mobile base with tactile sensing across the hand, back-drivable joints, hot-swappable batteries and multi-camera and LiDAR perception. The company develops its own stack around a skill-based approach it calls Vision-Language-Skill, together with a simulator (Holiday Sim), a robot learning platform (Holiday Lab) and an operations platform (OASys), and says it is running private proofs of concept with industrial partners in automotive, semiconductor and logistics settings. On 13 July 2026 it announced a KRW 155 billion Series A, which it presented as $105M, to expand its engineering team and prepare FRIDAY for manufacturing and commercial deployment. Headquartered in Seoul, it is also hiring in the United States.
