HIWIN Technologies Corp. was incorporated on 11 October 1989 and has its global headquarters in Taichung, Taiwan, and Taiwan Stock Exchange company data show its shares listed on the exchange since 26 June 2009 under code 2049. Founded by Cho Yung-Tsai, the company makes ball screws and linear guideways, and its range also covers ball splines, bearings, torque motors, single-axis and multi-axis robots, end effectors, DATORKER harmonic reducers, semiconductor subsystems and medical equipment. HIWIN says it had 6,268 employees worldwide in March 2025, runs research centres in Taichung, Tokyo and Offenburg in Germany, and has locations in Germany, the United States, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, France, Singapore, South Korea, Suzhou in China and Bulgaria. Its medical products include the MTG-H100 series, a robot arm that holds endoscopes, and the company is chaired by Cho Wen-Heng. In its letter to shareholders HIWIN said 2025 consolidated revenue was NT$24.263 billion, 0.53% lower than in 2024, and named US tariffs among the challenges it expects in 2026.
