Massachusetts maker of autonomous mobile robots and the LocusONE platform that coordinates warehouse workers and robot fleets for picking, putaway and transport.
Locus Robotics Corp. was incorporated in Delaware in 2015, according to its SEC Form D filings, and is based in Wilmington, Massachusetts. It sells autonomous mobile robots in several models, including Origin, Vector and Array, together with LocusONE, a platform that coordinates people and robots for picking, putaway, transport and mezzanine work in warehouses run by third-party logistics, retail, healthcare and industrial customers. In February 2021 the company announced a $150 million Series E led by Tiger Global Management and BOND, with Scale Venture Partners and Prologis Ventures, and said it brought its valuation to $1 billion. In November 2022 it announced a $117 million Series F led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and G2 Venture Partners, which it said brought its valuation close to $2 billion; at the time it reported more than 230 sites under contract and an average of more than 3 million picks a day. SEC Form D filings also show $40.9 million sold in an equity offering filed in May 2020 and $50.0 million sold to two investors in an offering filed in September 2021.
